May 8, 2013 - Wednesday
11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Santa Monica Place - Community Room
Building a management team is the single most important factor that investors look for when they consider making an investment -- more important than the technology, product, or ideas. This event is for YOU to explore your own team-building challenges and opportunities.
- We begin with "the numbers" - evidence telling us why team-building is a crucial skill for entrepreneurs to develop.
- Next, we cover the key competencies you need to make collaborations succeed.
- Then, you will "work through" small case examples, at small group tables, focusing on barriers and opening up opportunities to interest talent in joining in your business vision and building a core group of top-level team-members to take your business forward.
- Each table will include a WinLAVA facilitator. Not a panel of experts -- rather, fellow entrepreneurs to help you roll-up your sleeves, test ideas, build bridges, and tap the wisdom that surrounds you.

In the past two years, Women in LAVA has brought you an impressive collection of women investors, entrepreneurs, and most recently an outstanding group of Business Plan / Pitch candidates. We are committed to providing the most valuable, interesting, and insightful programs to help you and your business grow and thrive.
Our May 8th event is another new venture -- an entrepreneur's workshop where YOU do some of the heavy lifting, where we help guide your thinking about your past experiences and your future strategies. We hope to challenge you and expand your horizons: "to think differently" about how your business can succeed.
