As our first time entrepreneur training seminar celebrates nearly two years of programs, LAVA would like to invite all of our seminar graduates to join us for a reunion. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with other CEOs that you met at the seminars and network with each other. As an added attraction, we will have decisionmakers from the Innovat!onFund from Long Beach City College give a presentation on how companies that fit their portfolio may be able to receive grants from the fund.

Innovation Fund America aims to make community colleges the front door for supporting and developing entrepreneurship across the country.


Long Beach City College and Regional Economic Development

As part of the family of IFA funds, Innovation Fund SoCal @ Long Beach City College is advancing entrepreneurship by stimulating, educating, and accelerating Innovation-led startups with high-growth potential to create wealth in communities and social prosperity. Innovation Fund SoCal (IF SoCal) will make grants and loans to fund startup companies that commit to locating in the Los Angeles Basin.

LBCC is one of the largest single college districts in the California Community College System, providing comprehensive quality educational programs and related student services to nearly 30,000 students pursuing a wide range of degrees, certificates, transfer, and other courses of study. The College

· Is a driving force in the regional economy development, job and wealth creation,

· Serves as the lead host of the Los Angeles Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, serving Los   Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties; and

· Launched and manages the national Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative site serving Southern California.
