On March 20th at Cross Campus in Santa Monica, the next Mobile LAVA program will provide an inside look at raising venture capital in the mobile space. To provide perspective we have invited a fantastic panel of venture firm representatives and startup founders who will share their experience and advice. This program is definitely geared to entrepreneurs and early stage companies who are looking for initial funding or who may be past the initial seed round and seeking their next qualified round of financing.
In addition, our program will also provide some general insights into the mobile tech space—looking outward from a founder/CEO point-of-view, inward from an investor point-of-view, and vice-versa.
Moderating the program will be Ken Rutkowski, host of the nationally syndicated radio show, Business Rockstars, and founder of METal International that provides weekly events that showcase business and tech innovators.
Mobile LAVA's "Venture Funding: An Inside Look" will answer such questions as:
- Where in mobile is venture investment headed?
- What does the venture funding process look like?
- What makes an "investable" founding team and company?
- What makes for a good (or bad) investor/founder relationship?
- What are some of the current capital raising challenges today?
- When should a company seek venture capital?
- What's the deal with raising via convertible notes and how does that affect potential follow-on VC investment?
- What about crowdfunding?
