Richard Feinberg: Previously a special assistant to President Clinton for National Security Affairs, Richard is now nonresident senior fellow in the Latin America Initiative at Brookings and a professor of international political economy in the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at the University of California, San Diego. He is a past senior director of the National Security Council's (NSC) Office of Inter-American Affairs. Since 2005, he has been the book reviewer for the Western Hemisphere section of Foreign Affairs magazine.
Matt Perez: A native Cuban, he is a successful serial entrepreneur and an IT expert with over 20 years of experience, currently co-founder & COO at Nearsoft, Inc. – a leading software development company that helps its clients grow their software development teams. As a co-founder of three other start ups, has helped raise close to $50M in VC in investments.
Daniel James Perez: An expert on Cuba, he is a licensed NY attorney registered with the State Bar of California as In-House Counsel for TSG Solutions, Inc. in Carlsbad, CA. Traveled to Cuba with UC Berkeley in 2003, authored a series entitled “Beyond Embargo” in GW Law’s Nota Bene and founded the Law Students for Responsible Cuba Policy. While in Washington, D.C., Daniel volunteered with the Latin American Working Group and other organizations dedicated to promoting engagement with Cuba. Prior to beginning his legal career in New York City, Daniel clerked for the U.S. House of Representatives, Committee on Foreign Affairs, helping committee members prepare for congressional hearings on legislation to end the travel ban and other matters involving US-Cuba relations.
Jonathan Diamond: the Senior Managing Editor of the Los Angeles Business Journal. He was previously Senior Communications Deputy for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office. Prior to moving to Los Angeles in 2000 he was Vice President of the Literary Division of RLR Associates, a boutique New York talent agency, where he represented authors of non-fiction books, including then-New York Yankees Manager Joe Torre. Jonathan is also a co-founder of The Stand, a multifaceted start-up photojournalism agency, magazine and licensing business. He traveled to Cuba in March 2015 in part to recruit photographers to the project.
Donald Haber: the longtime executive director and chief operating officer at British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA), Los Angeles – a major Hollywood organization that supports, promotes and develops the art forms of the moving image – film, television and video games. Donald’s thesis was titled “Economic Conditions leading to Cuban Revolution”

(CTS) – a young venture with offices in California and Florida that arranges weekly, non-stop, direct public charter flights between the United States and Cuba. Cuba Travel Services, Inc. (CTS) is licensed by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) as an authorized Travel Service Provider (TSP) specializing in travel to Cuba.
