You have your concept, your team, marketing strategy, maybe even some sales, and now it’s time to raise capital to start or expand your company.  Are you ready?  Do you have all your financial ducks in a row? Is the timing right for your company for an Angel round? For a Series A round? Do you know how much you need to launch and to make it through your first year or two? What are investors looking for in a company? What triggers the funding?  Is Crowdfunding the right path for your company?


These are the questions our experienced panel will help you wade through, to help you have a clear picture of what you need to have ready for your raise. 


It’s important to be strongly positioned for the future. You want to raise enough money to put the company in a strong position to achieve the necessary operational and financial milestones, maximize the probability of raising future capital, and not too much so that you are being wasteful.

Kathryn is a highly sought after legal expert and consultant in the Filmed Entertainment Industry. She brings rare and unique insider knowledge from both the producer and executive standpoint and understands the financing and development practices, economic complexities and nuances of the industry. Working closely with each client, she brings the full benefit of this valuable experience to the client's unique case.


Kathryn earned The Best Short Film Award at the Venice Film Festival, and was the winner of the Heartland “Truly Moving Pictures” Award. Her Directorial debut "Shining Stars: The Official Story of Earth, Wind & Fire” was a Billboard Top 5 Release.

Kathryn is also CEO of Evolution at Sea; an entertainment cruise programming venture that unites a group of musical icons and global thought leaders to create once-in-a-lifetime experiences for alpha-influencers and music lovers. Evolution at Sea integrates music into each phase of the program, opening the minds of participants to the perspectives and insights of some of the world’s top creative and social leaders.


Heather Luttrell Heather Luttrell, COO/Founder at FieldTest

Heather is a successful entrepreneur and an experienced online media professional skilled in executive leadership, digital media sales and monetization strategy, business and product development, branding, and big data analytics.  Heather is currently Founder and COO at FieldTest.  FieldTest is changing the way publisher content is shared and monetized by bridging the gap between high touch content marketing and high reach programmatic delivery. The founding team was behind the creation of IndieClick Media Group, which was acquired by Demand Media in 2011. Prior to IndieClick, she was Client Services Engagement Manager for Niteo, and served in the Global Interactive Strategy group for American Express. In 2000, she worked with a co-founder of Priceline to build out his Venture Strategy fund. Her first entrepreneurial venture was the strategic philanthropy and volunteerism platform, Pangeea.

Prior to her entrepreneur beginnings, Ms. Luttrell was a strategic management consultant working in the most profitable business group at KPMG (now Bearing Point), assisting Fortune 500 clients with business and product strategy and M&A integration. Prior to KPMG, she worked at prestigious customer analytics boutique First Manhattan Consulting Group, delivering robust customer profitability analytics and segment insights at the Board level for retail banking and insurance clients.


Kenneth Greenberg Kenneth Greenberg, Founder of KLG Consultants, LLC.

Kenneth is a former Investment Banker and the founder of KLG Consultants, LLC.  Ken brings 25 years of experience as an investor, advisor and someone who was involved in the purchase and ongoing management of select profitable private companies through a Phoenix based private leveraged buyout firm.  KLG Consultants, LLC, can act as Your CEO's Temporary Right-Hand Man® or as a key advisor during critical periods of change during your organization’s development. He believes in a balanced and fair approach to business negotiations, leadership development, management training, and strategic planning.
Ken has been a member of the board of a number of private companies where he made an investment due to his prior association with three private equity firms.

While Ken was an investment banking professional with several investment banking firms, KLG Consultants, LLC does not provide financing nor arrange financing. KLG Consultants, LLC uses a facilitative approach to help clients with Organizational Development and Strategic Planning.


  Wilton Risenhoover - Entrepreneur, Investment Committee @ UCLA Venture Capital Fund

Mr. Risenhoover is a technology entrepreneur with a strong focus on product strategy and technology, and advises early stage companies on fundraising and development. He has over 20+ years serving on executive management teams in the Internet and software industries, with a particular focus on SaaS, enterprise software, and financial technology.

As a member of the Investment Committee of the UCLA Venture Capital Fund, he has the privilege of working with UCLA entrepreneurs to help them grow their companies. He also assists in evaluating investment opportunities that come before the Foundation. These opportunities are reflective of the diversity of UCLA-related entrepreneurship and include software, Internet, health care, biotech, medical devices, ed-tech, e-commerce, and nanotechnology.

He teaches entrepreneurship and securities analysis at UCLA, and he has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Kansas and an MBA (finance, entrepreneurship) from UCLA Anderson School of Management.



  Audrey Iffert-Saleem - Executive Director, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Initiatives, Office of the Vice President at Arizona State University

Audrey Iffert-Saleem is executive director of entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives for the Arizona State University Office of the Vice President for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She coordinates the university-wide effort to advance entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial student engagement activities. She is responsible for the development of transformative university-wide partnerships. Iffert-Saleem is an advocate for women’s participation in entrepreneurship; her research focuses on engaging college women in entrepreneurship experiences. She is also co-founder/owner of a creative services business that has an emphasis on supporting small businesses. Iffert-Saleem holds an EdD in higher education leadership and an MA in human communication, both from Arizona State University.
