What’s the best way to use the LAVA website?
The lava.org website has various features available depending on how you the user is logged in. We recommend you create a log-in and password, even if you are only a guest. If you are already a member, you already have a log-in and password. If you do not know your log-in and password see the instructions below on how to get your password. In order to register for an event you must log-in so that the registration form reflects the proper pricing for your membership type.
How do I register for an Event?
The next upcoming event is always posted on the LAVA home page at http://www.lava.org - look for the "Register NOW" link on the announcement which will take you to the registration form. Note that you will need to log in or obtain a new login to register for an event.
What is the Event pricing structure?
LAVA Breakfast Events are normally priced as follows, however are subject to change. Special event prices are detailed on the relevant event page.
Guests: $50 (onsite $70) LAVA Annual Members: No Charge LAVA Associate Members: $35 (onsite $45) Students (with valid ID): $20 (onsite $30)
How long is the LAVA Membership term?
LAVA Memberships last 1 year from the date of purchase.
Can I transfer my membership to someone else?
No. LAVA Memberships are for individuals only and are non-transferable.

How do I access the LAVA Member Directory?
The LAVA Membership Directory is only available to current members. Once logged in, click "Directory" in the menu above. There are simple search options available from the drop down menu also.
Do I need to be a member to register for an Event?
LAVA Membership provides additional benefits for those who attend events regularly. Non-members can attend any LAVA event, but they must "log in" to the LAVA website to enter their details and payment information to RSVP. If you do not have a login, one will be created for you when you click "Register NOW" on the program announcement on the Home Page.
What if I have forgotten my password?
If you forget your password you can have it emailed to you by selecting "Forgot your password?" on the Login page.
A login will be created automatically for you when you try to register for our next event or sign up for email updates.
Where and what time are the events?
All upcoming events are listed on our Events Calendar. Times and locations vary and are subject to change. The most current information is always available here on our website.
How do I download an Outlook reminder for your event?
Locate the event you wish to add a reminder for on the Event List and select "Add this event to Outlook" at the bottom of the relevant event's page.

How do I register someone other than myself for an event?
At the moment, each person needs to login with their own details and register themselves. We are working on changing this soon.
Can I register more than one person at a time?
Yes, if the extra people you are registering are guests ie. non-members. Otherwise people need to register themselves individually, although we are working on improving this.
Credit card payments are preferred, but in exceptional circumstances we can accept payment by check, please contact LAVA Member Services for more information.
How can I change my contact info?
To change your contact information, log in and select "My Profile" from the menu bar at the top of the page. Click the "Edit" link on the right to change your contact information.
Can I view past and future events?
The past events page can be accessed from the Event List which shows all upcoming events.
What if I want to register at the door?
If you wish to register on-site, please ensure that you arrive early and have a credit card to hand.
How do I add my name/email to the mailing list to receive emails from LAVA?
If you have previously registered for an event, we keep you informed of upcoming events by default. If you have not registered, you can sign up here to receive updates from LAVA.
My profile states that I am not a member and I know I am, what do I do?
